Thought of the day: WHAT YOU FOCUS ON EXPANDS.

I don't mean lean toward it, think about it often or squint at it through a pinhole.

I mean get into it. Eat it, live it, breathe it, 24-hours a day.

If you focus on hate, it grows bigger, enables misunderstanding, takes over your life and hurts everyone and everything you touch -- it slowly spreads outward like a flat, awkward viral amoeba, disproportionate and ugly with strange, bulbous, misanthropic tentacles that smother the life out of the most innocent of thoughts, ideas, love and life.

If you focus on love, it grows bigger, enables understanding, takes over your life and amplifies the lives of everyone and everything you touch -- it spreads outward in three dimensions at an exponential rate, up to the highest crowned official, down to the lowest homeless drug addict, and outward to the most curious and interesting mix of young and old, near and far, heathen and holy.

Happy MLK day and may we all choose to focus on love today.
